Music: Past Projects Sampler

by emetrex, Hallucinating Arkansas, Blair's Carriage

Prior to picking up an acoustic guitar, I was a founding member, bass player & (sometimes) drummer of emetrex, a Boston-based indie alternative rock band.  The band signed a record deal in 2000 with Seriously Groovy Records, an independent London-based label.  While on Seriously Groovy Records, we put out 9 CD's & EP's - over 50 songs between 2000 - 2005, including the critically acclaimed "King of Animals" single which received BBC airplay and was supported with a tour through England, Ireland & Scotland.  The band received over 500 reviews including a 5/5 stars in The Big Issue (April 2005), for our "Wish Me Dead" release including this comment, "...hold on, it might just be one of the best albums of the year!"

Prior to emetrex, I was also an original member of the post-punk band Blair’s Carriage.  We signed with Subcorridor Records releasing “tepid / everyone I know” as a limited edition 7" single.  In total, Blair’s Carriage released five EP’s & singles (20 songs) over a period of four years.  Becoming a regional favorite in Providence & Boston, we played over 200 shows and received regular airplay on WBRU, the biggest alternative rock station in Rhode Island as well as many college stations across New England.
