About

"A sense of wonder, curiosity & open-mindedness is crucial to living a truly fulfilled life.  It's the search, the willing to get caught up in the moment, take the risk & have the passion to chase the 'why' that allows you to touch the infinite & experience the moment in the faith of the unknowable.

Making personal, meaningful connections with our thoughts, ideas & physical bodies; connecting with each other and our environment through shared, authentic experiences make us feel alive & gives our lives significant meaning; if only in pieced together moments...

Music, photography, journal writing... all of these activities have led me to altered states.  All are very sacred to me... very spiritual & personal... these are the ways I find meaning, experience joy & share love..."

MUSIC

My songwriting combines my love of indie-pop melodies & americana soundscapes with my acoustic guitar finger picking + personal experience storytelling...

My 2015 release, "In Pursuit of an Authentic Life" was an experiment; what would happen if I took a full production approach to my songs by blending a wide-range of quirky instrumentation, lush vocal arrangements and string orchestration with my sparse acoustic guitar & personal storytelling?

It was recorded & produced by Norm Demoura at Harmonium Studios in Western, MA.  Norm has worked with a number of notable artists including pianist Terry Adams from NRBQ and Susan Tedeschi.  "In Pursuit..." features guest performances by Mike Levesque (David Bowie, Seven Mary Three), Joe Boyle (Peter Tork), Scott Levesque (Wheat) and Rick Lescaut (sky jelly).

Prior to picking up an acoustic guitar, I was a founding member, bass player & (sometimes) drummer of emetrex, a Boston-based indie alternative rock band.  The band signed a record deal in 2000 with Seriously Groovy Records, an independent London-based label.  While on Seriously Groovy Records we put out 9 CD's & EP's - over 50 songs between 2000 - 2005, including the critically acclaimed "King of Animals" single which received BBC airplay and was supported with a tour through England, Ireland & Scotland.  The band received over 500 reviews including a 5/5 stars in The Big Issue (April 2005), for our "Wish Me Dead" release including this comment, "...hold on, it might just be one of the best albums of the year!"
